Our story began with our founder and CEO, Nate Coughran, a CPA with over 15 years of experience. With family members working as content creators on Instagram, he kept hearing the same frustrating stories: accountants giving bad advice, not returning calls, or an awful combination of both: offering delayed responses filled with misinformation.
It became clear very quickly: traditional accountants didn’t understand the creator economy. They didn’t know how creators actually make money, how to handle income that comes from multiple platforms, or where the line falls on deductions when life and content often overlap.
Seeing this gap, Nate started helping his family members directly — and that was the seed of Cookie Finance. What started as supporting family has now grown into a dedicated company serving creators across every major platform, from Instagram, YouTube, Twitch, TikTok and more.
Today, our team specializes exclusively in taxes, bookkeeping, and financial guidance for creators. We’re proud to be the partner creators trust to make sure their finances are handled with accuracy, integrity, and care: so they can focus on creating.
