Cookie Finance was founded with one simple mission: to give content creators financial peace of mind they deserve from people who understand them.
Our story began with our founder and CEO, Nate Coughran, a CPA with over 15 years of experience.
With family members working as content creators on Instagram, he kept hearing the same frustrating stories. Accountants gave these creators bad advice or didn’t return their calls. At worst, he saw an awful combination: delayed responses filled with misinformation.
It became clear very quickly: traditional accountants didn’t understand the creator economy. They didn’t know how creators actually make money, how to handle income that comes from multiple platforms, or where the line falls on deductions when life and content often overlap.
Seeing this gap, Nate started helping his family members directly, and that was the seed of Cookie Finance. What started as supporting family has now grown into a dedicated company serving creators across every major platform, from Instagram, YouTube, Twitch, TikTok and more.
We believe creators deserve more than cookie-cutter answers.
We don’t just file taxes. We get to know the people behind the content. We consume our clients’ work, understand their business, and meet with them regularly so that every piece of advice is individualized and practical.
